Question:

What are the DUI Penalties for college students?

Answer:

DUI Penalties for College StudentsThe DUI penalties for college students in Connecticut are going to be pretty much the same as DUI penalties for anybody else. If you are under 21 years old, and you are driving in Connecticut and you get a DUI, the legal limit for alcohol is .04, if you’re under 21. Keep in mind, the police can also charge you with DUI for being under the influence of anything. In Connecticut, it’s not just driving under the influence of alcohol; it’s driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. You may not have had anything to drink, and you can still be charged with a DUI.

If you are over 21, then the penalties are going to be just like everybody else. If you’re under 21, they’re going to be somewhat similar, if not exactly the same as somebody who’s over 21 who gets a DUI and is not a college student.
